Erik Spoelstra will take some time to determine Miami’s starting five for the next game, per Tom D’Angelo of the Palm Beach Post.
The Heat kept things pretty close last night when they replaced usual starters Justise Winslow and Bam Adebayo with James Johnson and Kelly Olynyk, but foul trouble kept Johnson off the floor for a lot of the second half. It stands to reason that they’ll try that look again and hope for a more favorable whistle, but coach Spo is going to explore his options. “I’ll have three days to figure out who will start on Saturday. But when you lose a player like Hassan, who impacts so many different things on both sides of the floor, you do have to consider matchups.” This might be a good time to buy low on JJ while Olynyk is a nice pickup in the short term who could remain valuable all year long.
