Ersan Ilyasova has had a strong 48 hours, following up Friday’s 22 points with a Saturday game that included 21 points, 7-of-9 shooting, seven rebounds, two threes, a steal and a block.
Ilyasova is probably trying to prove his worth as the team’s starting power forward. Atlanta is about to get a few frontcourt guys back and Ghostface Ilya isn’t the highest priority on a rebuilding team. As long as he’s getting good minutes, however, Ilyasova is certainly capable of producing top-125 numbers. He’s got a handy stat set and is a nice glue guy to run with in most roster builds.
