Despite a poor showing from Evan Fournier, France managed to hang on for a 78-75 win over Poland on Tuesday at EuroBasket.
Fournier shot 2-for-7 for four points, adding one rebound, one assist and one steal. It’s a bit disappointing that he couldn’t take advantage of a theoretically weaker opponent, but the Polish team did a nice job being very physical on the defensive end and the refs weren’t at all eager to go to the whistle. Fournier should be a safe early-late round pick this season. Free agent Boris Diaw delivered 13 points with two triples.
