Enes Kanter revealed that about five teams would come calling if he decides to opt-out of his last year with the Knicks.

Kanter could opt-in to his $18.6 million by Friday to remain with the Knicks for another year. This remains the most likely decision with many cash strapped teams not able to match that kind of per-year money as well as the Knicks hiring of David Fizdale. “With Coach Fizdale, I want to stay more,’’ Kanter said. “I know his mentality, I know how much freedom he gives to his players. It’s going to help my decision for sure." The Knicks are likely to be lottery bound again in 2019, so that could factor into the center's decision as well. Kanter has recently been seen working on his 3-point shot in practices. “[Fizdale] told me he wants me to stretch the floor next year by making 3’s and I’m working on it,’’ he said. The veteran made just two 3-pointers all of last year and and five the year before so it remains to be seen if he can really add it to his game at this point in his career.
