Jeff Hornacek said that Frank Ntilikina could compete for a chance to start point guard right away, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post.
In the same breathe Hornacek also said that the point guard position is like playing quarterback and a player needs to be groomed into the role. The 19-year old has an immense amount of raw talent and is a part of the rebuilding plans for the Knicks. He will likely open the season coming off of the bench behind veteran Ramon Sessions, but expect Ntilikina to be handed the reins at some point of this process.
