Frank Ntilikina scored only six points but was able to dish a career-high nine assists to go with four rebounds, one block, one steal and two turnovers in the Knicks’ loss to the Magic on Wednesday night.
While the world goes mad with takes about how surprised they are about Ntilikina’s stout defense, he’s quietly showing that he’s a good point guard at the offensive end too. Ntilikina’s assist totals are no longer an isolated incident, a coincidence or the product of playing next to Kristaps Porzingis, who sat Wednesday night’s game. The French rookie shared the rock for nine assists on Wednesday and now has 24 assists over the last three contests. He was labeled a project. Maybe he is. But this project seems to already be worth your fantasy attention.
