Frank Ntilikina says he wants to start for the Knicks at point guard this year, but is also ‘a team player’.
It’s unclear who will take on that role this year as the Knicks failed to land a distinguished point guard in free agency. They landed with Ron Baker, Ramon Sessions and the rookie Ntilikina as their available PG’s and the role seems to be wide open for the taking. Sessions has never been a consistent starter in his 10-year career and Ron Baker struggled at times to compete with the other point guards of the league, though he did play valiantly down the stretch of last year. Ntilikina still has the most upside out of all three and is the favorite to start for the Knicks at this point. In fantasy terms, that’s worth a late-round flyer just to see how he goes.
