When asked why Frank Ntilikina saw only five minutes on Saturday night, coach Jeff Hornacek said it was because “Ricky Rubio was having his way on drives.”
Well, that’s one take on it. Everyone has a bad night once in a while and Ntilikina admittedly wasn’t good, but it seems a little silly to yank your hopefully-franchise point guard because of the one skillset that everyone knows he already possesses. The Knicks shouldn’t let this continue for long, as Ntilikina is already their best defensive point guard and his development should be paramount for them this season. The rookie remains the most appealing long-term fantasy prospect of the bunch here but is hard to trust right now.
