The Raptors fell short on Sunday despite the best efforts of Fred Van Vleet, who picked up 10 points, three rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 20 minutes in the wake of Kyle Lowry‘s ejection.
Van Vleet hit a number of tough layups at the rim and did well to inject some energy into a team and home crowd that was listless for much of the night. FVV was a team-high plus-14 tonight and probably saved his rotation spot with this performance, leading a fourth quarter comeback that got the Raptors within three in a game they once trailed by 20-plus. The smallest guy on the floor tonight may have made the biggest impact, though Delon Wright was also productive with 11 points, three rebounds, four assists, a steal and a triple in 27 minutes. Wright is the preferred fantasy option but both players are only worth using in deep leagues.
