James Johnson had a much better second game of his current stint in the starting five, posting 17 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks in 31 minutes.
Foul trouble kept Johnson under wraps in the last game but Miami stuck with him in the starting five and they’re probably happy they did. JJ has the stat set to churn out top-75 numbers without breaking much of a sweat but we’ll see how things look when he returns to the bench once the Heat get back to full strength. Either way, he’s a solid middle-round player and should be treated as such going forward.
