The Erie Bayhawks acquired the rights to R.J. Hunter in exchange for the rights to Jonathan Gibson and a fourth round pick.
Adam Johnson adds that the Hawks are expected to offer Hunter an Exhibit-10 deal, where they would retain his rights in the G-League if he is waived before the season starts. Hunter appeared in only five games for the Rockets last year but averaged 20.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 3.7 triples for the Rio Grande Vipers. 30 year-old point guard, Jonathan "ATM" Gibson, appeared in four games for the Celtics to close the season averaging 8.5 points in 10.0 minutes and had an impressive showing for the Chinese Basketball Associated prior to that.
