Gerald Green had a nice night in the Rockets’ loss to the Wizards on Friday night, finishing with 18 points, two rebounds, two steals and hitting four 3-pointers.
After not scoring a point in his Rockets debut last night, he got a chance to play more on Friday night while Houston was being blown out. Green shot it well, hitting 4-of-6 from long range. He stepped in on a night where the Rockets’ usual suspects struggled. Eric Gordon wasn’t too bad with 16 points and 2-of-5 from deep. But Ryan Anderson scored only nine points and shot 1-of-8 from 3-point land with Trevor Ariza only contributing seven points on a slightly worse 1-of-9 from beyond the arc. Green doesn’t figure to be a prominent part of the rotation normally but could warrant streaming attention in deeper leagues.
