Giannis Antetokounmpo played 29 minutes in a loss against the Spurs on Monday, finishing with 22 points on 6-of-12 from the field to go along with 9-of-10 from the line, one 3-pointer, 11 boards, two assists, two steals, one block and two turnovers.
Antetokounmpo is for real. A lot of experts were skeptical of The Greek Freak’s ability to be a first-round contributor and he’s proving them all wrong with his top-3 overall rank in fantasy basketball. He’s essentially a 7-foot tall Russell Westbrook and his 77.9 percent from the line is a very nice improvement from last year’s 72.4 percent. Not bad.
