Larry Nance Jr. (sprained MCL) was able to go through Thursday's practice and there's a "good chance" that he can return on Friday.
Nance sustained the injury on January 8 and was expected to miss two or three weeks, so he's right on schedule. His return could send Ante Zizic back to the bench, and Nance is a must-start player for as long as Tristan Thompson (foot) is sidelined. He'll be capped for as long as Thompson is around, but the shutdown potential there means that Nance could finish this season with a bang. He shouldn't be on any waiver wires.
