Amid all the trade rumors, Goran Dragic hopes to remain with the Heat.
Dragic is in the second year of a five-year, $85 million deal. With the Heat currently rebuilding, it makes sense for them to try and move him to clear cap space. The Kings and Magic have been the most recent rumored destinations with the Heat rejecting an offer of Nikola Vucevic and a future first round pick.
Dragic has been saying all the right things, praising everyone from the executives to the city itself. “I feel really good here. I feel like I’m in the right spot. The city is awesome, the fans are great, the organization is the top organization in the league. My family, they’re feeling amazing, they love the city. Of course I want to stay here but the only thing that I can do is play basketball and that’s what I’m focused on.” Dragic has been on fire over the last eight games since he came back from injury, averaging 21.5 points while shooting 51.7 percent from the field, chipping in 4.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.6 treys per game.
