Gordon Hayward piled in 26 points, eight rebounds and three assists 9-of-20 shooting in 42 minutes in the Jazz’ 104-91 Game 7 win over the Clippers.
Hayward was key in this victory, asserting himself as the Jazz’ best player and really stepping up with Rudy Gobert in foul trouble. Hayward and the Jazz have managed to get by the Clippers but they must face the Warriors next round and they’ll be the underdogs. It’ll take all they have an more to conquer the Warriors, but don’t count the Jazz out, they overcome expectations this season. Hayward averaged 23.3 points and 7.0 rebounds before this game, but he’ll likely draw Klay Thompson or Draymond Green next round, two of the better defenders in the league.
