Gordon Hayward scored 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting (including four threes) with four rebounds, five assists and one steal in the Jazz’s 106-85 bloodbath win over the Knicks on Wednesday.
It was cute when folks said that Alec Burks (10 points, one assist, 19 minutes) and Rodney Hood (five points, 2-of-7 FGs, four rebounds, three assists, one steal) were going to steal Hayward’s thunder. The production was down for these guys because of the blowout for the most part, though Hood was ejected for chucking Sasha Vujacic into a stanchion and declined to speak to the media after the game. He could be suspended for Friday’s game due to the Flagrant-2 foul. Trey Lyles was able to get some run and put up six points, 10 assists and two blocks, but owners shouldn’t read too much into the box score here tonight.
