Celtics head coach Brad Stevens said that Gordon Hayward's had been dealing with his most recent foot injury well before he broke his hand last month, and that he did not respond well to the latest cortisone shot he receieved for it.
The idea that Hayward has been playing with this injury while simultaneously having his best season in two years is actually an encouraging devlopment in this most recent saga for the oft sidelined forward. If his absence is more related to a mishap in the treatment process then perhaps he will not be sidelined for too long. He is expected to get an MRI on Thursday so keep a close eye for updates around then.
