Gorgui Dieng played 35 minutes in a win against the Hawks on Monday, finishing with 14 points on 6-of-12 from the field to go with 2-of-2 from the line, seven boards, three dimes, three steals and two turnovers.
Dieng was solid tonight, but he hasn’t been getting it done for his owners who drafted him in the top-50 range as he’s sitting outside of the top-60 on the year. His supposedly great percentages are undermined by the fact that he’s pretty much the last offensive option in the starting five for the Wolves so they don’t carry enough weight. He’s a boring player to own, but he is very serviceable to say the least. He should continue to hover around the top-60 for his owners the rest of the year.
