Gorgui Dieng played 31 minutes on Saturday, but registered just seven points and eight rebounds while shooting 3-of-11 from the field.
Dieng has been in a bit of a funk lately, totaling just 17 points combined in his last three games. Coming off a 2-point effort in 18 minutes last night against the Knicks, this was not the kind of bounce back performance owners were looking for from the Wolves’ big man. Meanwhile, reserve forwards Shabazz Muhammad and Nemanja Bjelica both had double digit scoring nights off the bench for the second consecutive game for the Wolves. Dieng owners should monitor the situation moving forward to see if a trend could be emerging.
