Greg Monroe was perhaps the only effective Celtic in Wednesday's ugly loss, picking up 17 points, eight rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes off the bench.
Monroe gave the Raptors fits down low and it was only when checked with the length of Bebe Nogueira that he slowed a bit. He went 9-for-9 at the charity stripe as the Raps had no choice but to hack Moose once he established low post position. It's not always going to be a smooth ride but Monroe should be deployed in all standard leagues with the Celtics desperate for scoring and playmaking right now. Al Horford was nothing special in this one, finishing with 16 points, four rebounds, a 3-pointer, a steal and a block in 31 minutes. Expect both bigs to shoulder heavy loads over the final four games.
