Greg Monroe put-up 16 points, three assists, nine boards and one steal in 7-of-13 from the field in Monday’s win over the Hornets.
Monroe finishes the year as a top-65 asset which is 34 ranking spot drop from last season. This can be explained by a huge drop off in minutes as he averaged six less minutes per game. This contributed to some big stat reductions like going from 67 blocks to 37. Simply put Monroe is an old school center who isn’t a good defender and doesn’t fit well in today’s NBA. The big man is under contract for one more year so he could be trade bait at the deadline next season making him a risky pick in next years drafts. At least for the start of the 2017-2018 season he should remain productive while the Bucks being their young center Thon Maker along slowly.
