Harrison Barnes played 37 minutes in a loss to the Pelicans on Monday, finishing with 15 points on 6-of-14 from the field to go with 2-of-2 from the line, one 3-pointer, seven boards, one assist and two turnovers.
Barnes’s lack of defensive stats aren’t anything new, but can definitely annoy his owners. At least he got it done elsewhere in just about every other category. Harry B has been a top-70 player this season and it’ll be interesting to see how Dirk Nowitzki’s return influences his offensive output going forward. Fortune currently favors Barnes as he’s more of a sure thing in the long run this season and Nowitzki’s outlook is very shaky considering this is a miserable tanking season in Dallas.
