Harrison Barnes scored 21 points while chipping in four rebounds and a couple of steals in a 97-82 loss on Saturday.
Barnes was the only Mavs’ player that was able to do much in this one, connecting on 9-of-15 field goal attempts while every other starter was below the 50 percent marker for the game. Coming over from the star-studded Warriors, it is not surprising that Barnes is averaging a career-high 20.6 points per game. However, with how bad the rest of his new team is, it is a bit surprising that Barnes has been able to keep his field goal percentage over 47 percent, as he’s been the primary scorer all season long. He’ll make for a top-75 player this year with his point totals, but lack of other category contributions suppress his potential.
