Harrison Barnes scored 31 points on 11-of-18 shooting while hitting 8-of-9 free throws in addition to grabbing two rebounds, two assists and one turnover in the 109-97 victory over the Lakers on Tuesday.
Barnes has been asked to step up as the Mavs have had to play shorthanded the last few games and he has responded with a 34 point outing followed by Tuesday’s 31 point effort. It will be interesting to see what role Barnes creates for himself with his new team once the dust settles this year. If the last two games are any indication, Barnes could end up being a great value pick this season.
