Harrison Barnes (hamstring) will not play in Friday's preseason finale and remains uncertain to play in the Mavs' season opener.
Barnes still isn't cleared to run and he's only been doing light court work so it's not looking good. He'd obviously like to play in the team's first game but is taking a long-term approach. "The goal is to play in the first game. But if I can’t do that, just make sure that I’m taking the time to get 100 percent healthy and be ready to go." A steady option for scoring and rebounds, Barnes' middle-round ADP has been slipping steadily since the first news of his injury. He's safe to take around pick No. 100, though the lack of updates on Barnes' progress does increase his risk factor.
