• LeBron James
    SF, Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers intend to enter the season with LeBron James as their starting point guard, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

It's a sensible decision given the dearth of quality point guard options left in free agency. The Lakers had to wait for Kawhi Leonard's decision and missed out on the top-level guards, but plugging in the most cerebral player in the league is not a bad consolation prize. It'll open up more minutes at the forward spots and shooting guard and limit opportunities for the other point guards on the roster. Kyle Kuzma, Avery Bradley and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope should see more minutes, while this hurts the stock of Rajon Rondo, Quinn Cook and Alex Caruso. LeBron is already a de facto point guard, so it'll be interesting to see how much the positional change affects his sterling numbers.
