The Heat could be considering making changes to their starting lineup, with James Johnson and Rodney McGruder the likely candidates to move to the bench.
Miami's current starting five of Johnson, McGruder, Hassan Whiteside, Josh Richardson and Justise Winslow, helped the Heat get back on track after Goran Dragic got hurt, but has struggled of late and has often needed to be bailed out by the bench. McGruder and Johnson have seen their minutes dwindle over the last handful of games, and if they were to be replaced in the starting five it would likely be for Dion Waiters and Derrick Jones Jr. The Heat have loved Jones' energy off the bench, and if he were to play something like 28 mpg he'd make for a compelling add in all leagues. His stat set is gold, and all he's been missing is playing time. Waiters would have some appeal in points leagues or for anyone who needs points, but he still wouldn't be a target of ours, even as a starter.
