• Derrick Jones Jr.
    G/F, Miami Heat

The Miami Heat have signed Derrick Jones Jr. to a two-year, $1.5 million contract, as he was previously on a two-way deal.

The first year of Jones Jr.'s contract is guaranteed while the second is conditional, giving him all the incentive he should need to work hard for Miami. This makes Jones Jr. the 11th man on the 15-man roster and opens up Miami for another two-way contract. Jones Jr. played in 14 games for the Heat and started in eight of them, averaging 3.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 15.1 minutes. He's still only 20 years old and is spewing with athleticism, making it understandable that the Heat don't yet believe he's reached his full potential.
