The Heat will waive and stretch the remainder of Ryan Anderson's contract.
Anderson is in the final year of his contract but this move is necessary to complete the Jimmy Butler trade. He will count against the Heat cap for $5.2 million in each of the next two offseasons. From a fantasy perspective, Anderson has not been productive for the last two seasons and that is unlikely to change although he should be able to land a minimum contract somewhere.
