Magic GM Rob Hennigan told the Orlando Sentinel that there will be enough minutes for Bismack Biyombo, Serge Ibaka and Nikola Vucevic this season.
Unless he means that Biyombo plays Toronto minutes then there isn’t really any way for this to be true, though it’s fair to say that Hennigan can’t really say that he’s looking to trade Vucevic. Still, Hennigan should be on the hot seat for his tenure in Orlando and his talk of playoffs screams of ownership expectations. Hennigan has defiantly hitched his wagon to Elfrid Payton and the recent trades, if 100 percent his call, are the kind that send decision-makers packing.
There has been talk of Aaron Gordon playing minutes at the three this season, and for a team that will struggle to shoot off the dribble we’re not summarily buying it like we’re having our first beer or anything like that. It’s going to be tight until somebody gets traded or hurt.
