Ian Mahinmi played 21 minutes in Monday's win over the Enes Kanter-less Knicks, posting 11 points, four rebounds, two blocks and a 3-pointer.
Mahinmi is looking like Washington's opening night starter given Dwight Howard's back troubles and should be on your radar as a big man who can pick up steals and blocks in a hurry. He also hit his second 3-pointer of the preseason tonight, which might be something to watch going forward. It's likely that Mahinmi would've played more had the Knicks dressed a bigger lineup, so you can project him a little more aggressively than this. He's a late-round flier with short-term appeal.
