Mahinmi underwent multiple knee procedures last season, and the effects have lasted well into the start of this season. He is still trying to reconcile with the present and those surgically repaired knees that force him to react too slow, making him feel less certain and more careful. His production has picked up on the defensive end recently where he has delivered a 101.9 rating (points allowed per 100 possessions). Still, he can only be viewed as insurance is deep leagues since he is only averaging 3.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 14 minutes of action.
