When the Pacers traded for Jeff Teague they had every intention of extending his contract long-term, according to what sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
The veteran was a great pickup by the Pacers, making an upgrade at the point guard position. At this point it is unclear as to when the negotiations will take place but it seems as though both sides have mutual interest. Teague was apparently thrilled to have landed in this position and who can blame him. For the first time he will be playing alongside a superstar in Paul George and the Pacers look to be a contender in the East. His fantasy value will definitely take a hit with more talent on this new roster.
