• Norman Powell was able to play 16 minutes and started the second half in Sunday’s win with OG Anunoby (sprained ankle) departing after only 11 minutes.

Powell posted two points, two rebounds and two assists. Fresh off a nice contract extension and some excellent work in his first two seasons, Powell has really dropped off this year and has been surpassed in the rotation by the rest of the Raptors bench. He more or less only plays when things get to garbage time, and while Toronto has been making that happen with ease lately it’s not enough for him to be worth looking at in fantasy.

Fantasy News

  • Michael Porter Jr.
    PF, Denver Nuggets

Michael Porter Jr. (right ankle) has been cleared to return from a six-game absence on Friday.

Porter was injured in Denver's game on January 31 and has been shelved since, but he'll be back in action tomorrow night. The talented sophomore has been great in limited run, and while he's flashed some serious fantasy potential it may be hard for him to get the necessary minutes with Denver fully healthy in the frontcourt. Keep a close eye on his workload in the coming days.

  • Will Barton
    SG, Denver Nuggets

Will Barton (right knee inflammation) is officially questionable to play on Friday.

Barton was limited at Wednesday's practice. If he's unable to play, look for Gary Harris and Torrey Craig to soak up some extra minutes. It doesn't sound like Barton is looking at a serious injury, as a questionable tag is more promising than other potential outcomes.

  • Kemba Walker
    PG, Boston Celtics

Kemba Walker (sore left knee) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game.

The Celtics are taking on the KAT-less Wolves and shouldn't need Walker for that one, but it is curious that this came after Walker was given a maintenance day and was limited of Wednesday's practice. Brad Stevens intimated that that was just proactive load management, but it looks like fantasy GMs will have to be a little more diligent than expected about checking Walker's status moving forward. Brad Wanamaker should get extra run tomorrow.

  • Mario Hezonja
    SG, Portland Trail Blazers

Mario Hezonja (left ankle sprain) will remain sidelined on Friday against the Pelicans.

Hezonja missed the last two games before the All-Star break and it's concerning that he's not ready to rock despite over a full week off. He's off the fantasy radar.

  • Nassir Little
    SF, Portland Trail Blazers

Nassir Little (left ankle sprain) has been cleared to play on Friday.

Little ended up missing about a week before the ASB but is back and available. With just 12.7 mpg on the year, Little isn't a fantasy option.

  • Karl-Anthony Towns
    C, Minnesota Timberwolves

Karl-Anthony Towns (left wrist) will not play on Friday.

It's been reported that Towns will miss some games coming up so this isn't necessarily a surprise, but it's still frustrating because Minnesota hasn't given any kind of specific timeline about how long KAT will be out. Naz Reid and James Johnson are the two big winners from a minutes perspective, with Johnson having the better shot at fantasy value because of his stat set. Both are potential low-end adds in standard formats.

  • Damian Lillard
    PG, Portland Trail Blazers

Damian Lillard (right groin strain) was unable to practice on Thursday and said that he expects to miss 3-4 games.

Lillard was hit with a 1-2 week timetable right before the All-Star break so it looks like he's targeting the back end of that outlook. Anfernee Simons and Gary Trent Jr. should get extra run in the next week, though the biggest winner figures to be CJ McCollum. Expect another update on Lillard in a few days.

  • Kyrie Irving
    PG, Brooklyn Nets

Shams Charania is reporting that Kyrie Irving is likely to undergo surgery on his right shoulder that will result in a significant absence.

Irving has been bothered by a right shoulder impingement all season long and has been putting off surgery in hopes of playing down the stretch. That looks like it won't happen, with the procedure likely coming with his long-term future in mind. Irving will be a drop as soon as the Nets make this official, while Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert are in line for big finishes to the season.

  • Derrick Walton Jr.
    PG, Detroit Pistons

Derrick Walton Jr. will ink a 10-day deal with the Pistons, per Shams Charania.

Walton has made 23 appearances, including one start, this season. He was traded from the Clippers to the Hawks and immediately waived at the trade deadline. He'll serve as extra guard depth behind Derrick Rose, Bruce Brown and Svi Mykhailiuk.

  • Dragan Bender
    PF, Golden State Warriors

Dragan Bender will sign a 10-day contract with the Warriors, per Adrian Wojnarowski.

Bender has only appeared in seven games with the Bucks this season, getting largely garbage time minutes. He should find more opportunity in front of him in Golden State but the former top pick isn't close to the fantasy radar.
