The Bulls will plug Isaiah Canaan into the starting lineup for Wednesday’s Game 5 in Boston.
From out of the rotation to starting point guard with just one game in between. Canaan has leapfrogged the struggling Jerian Grant and the ineffective Michael Carter-Williams and at the very least will give the team more scoring punch. We’ll see how he holds up defensively, but he probably won’t be as much of a hindrance as the other two guards in the aggregate. The fact that the Bulls are throwing solutions at the wall to see what sticks halfway through a playoff series probably isn’t great, but it nicely mirrors the overall season in Chicago.
