Isaiah Thomas piled in 33 points, one rebound, nine assists and one block on 11-of-23 shooting in 38 minutes while Avery Bradley posted 18 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals on 7-of-20 shooting in 39 minutes as the Celtics topped the Wizards in Game 1 on Sunday.
Thomas and Bradley were key to launching the comeback, as the Wizard started off the game on a 16-0 run and were on pace for the biggest blowout win in NBA history. Thomas lit up John Wall this game, scoring 31 points throughout the first three quarters while Bradley had his hands full with Bradley Beal on the Wizards but still managed to impact the offensive side of the game. Thomas and Bradley also combined for eight 3-pointers and the Wizards just looked like they didn’t have a way to stop them. Their arguably the Celtics two most important players and they look to continue their five game win streak in Game 2 on Tuesday.
