Following a transcendent Game 2 performance, Isaiah Thomas was essentially silenced in Game 3, finishing a huge loss with just 13 points in 29 minutes.
Thomas shot 3-of-8, missed both attempts from deep and was an uncharacteristic 7-of-11 from the charity stripe. That actually improved throughout the night, as Thomas was sitting at 3-for-7 at one point. He could only add three boards and four assists to his statline as the Celtics were embarrassed by a Wizards team that finally strung together four dominant quarters. Thomas was also victimized by Otto Porter, as the Wiz finally came to their senses and posted OP for easy buckets over the diminutive guard rather than sticking him in the corner to await kickouts. The Celtics will need to watch out for that in Game 4 and beyond, but he should be back to his normal scoring output come Sunday.
