Isaiah Thomas’ hip injury played a role in him being traded by the Celtics according to Celtics’ GM Danny Ainge.
Ainge said that Thomas might be delayed to start the season, and that they had just been allowing him to rest and relax in order to treat his ailment. The Cavs don’t seemed to be worried though, they just need Thomas ready for the playoffs and he definitely should be, he’ll most likely be rested periodically throughout the regular season along with LeBron and Kevin Love. Isaiah Thomas’ hip injury doesn’t seem to be a huge problem but it might cost his fantasy owners a couple of games, either way he’s still worth taking in the early to mid third round. That Cavs and Celtics matchup opening night is shaping up to be one of the best of the season.
