Isaiah Thomas poured in 33 points, five rebounds, six assists and one steal on 10-of-18 shooting in 38 minutes in the 106-102 Game 1 home loss vs. the Bulls.
This was obviously an emotional night for Thomas and he’s extremely tough to have even played in this game, led alone 38 minutes. He had six turnovers, but he had both Rajon Rondo and Jimmy Butler hounding him all night long. His head obviously wasn’t completely in the game as he’s dealing with the loss of his sister, but he still managed to drop 33 points. The Celtics go as far as IT takes them, and as long as he’s playing like his normal self the Celtics shouldn’t worry. This 1 vs. 8 series is definitely shaping up to be much better than the one in the Western Conference.
