Ish Smith had a night to forget on Wednesday, going a woeful 1-for-12 from the field and 1-for-4 from the line with three points, five rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block in 31 minutes of playing time.
Smith missed a number of looks in the paint as well, so he wasn’t just dealing with a wonky jumper in this one. Dwight Buycks was 1-for-5 in his 17 minutes (though he did add six assists and a steal), and the shooting woes at the point guard spot opened up some opportunities for Langston Galloway. The sharpshooter blasted past his usual workload in this one, finishing with 11 points, three triples and four steals in 24 minutes. Consider his usage a result of the circumstances, and keep sticking with Smith going forward. He should have at least another month of standard league value in him.
