In Monday’s loss to the Raptors, Ish Smith was able to connect on 7-of-13 from the field for 16 points but could only add three rebounds, two assists and a steal in 26 minutes.
While most owners have come to expect harmful shooting lines from Smith, tonight was a nice change of pace despite the quiet output elsewhere. Expect him to return to his usual form going forward, but if you can take the poor percentages there’s nothing stopping Smith from playing at top-110 levels until Reggie Jackson returns. He’s got at least two weeks left with the gig. Behind Smith on the depth chart, Dwight Buycks saw 19 minutes (12-4-4) while Jameer Nelson was a DNP-CD. Nothing to see there.
