Ish Smith started in place of Reggie Jackson (knee) and produced 15 points, five assists, six boards, one steal on 6-of-14 from the field and 2-0f-3 from deep in Monday’s loss to the Knicks.
We know that Reggie Jackson (knee) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Heat and there is a possibility he will be shut down for the remainder of the season. If this were to happen than Smith would be a mid-level add. The 35 minutes he played on Monday would be pretty normal with Beno Udrih his only competition for starters minutes. His per/36 numbers for the season are 13.0 points, 4.3 boards, 7.7 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.6 blocks and 2.1 to’s. Useful stats for the stretch run.
