Ivica Zubac (illness) drew the start on Friday night and put up 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting to go with 11 rebounds, two steals and two blocks in Friday's 112-104 win over the Pelicans.
Zubac received an IV this morning but put together one of the best games of his career in 32 minutes. Zubac had averaged just 6.7 minutes per game this season and had more DNP-CD's than double-digit-minute games, so this one really comes out of nowhere. It's tough to chase this performance considering JaVale McGee was out and Tyson Chandler was clearly feeling the effects of his own illness, but it's an encouraging game nonetheless. Perhaps Zubac can chip away at Chandler's workload going forward. He's not the same presence on the glass but is more dynamic overall. Keep an eye on Zubac in deep leagues but don't get too worked up.
