J.J. Barea (calf strain) will make his return on Friday vs. the Nets.
Barea will finally return after a month and a half on the sidelines. The calf injury has dogged him all year as he has returned twice before only to re-injure himself both times. Since Barea’s injury, the Mavs jettisoned Deron Williams but Yogi Ferrell has taken control of the starting job. Look for Barea to return in his customary spark plug bench role with about 20 minutes of court time per game if the calf holds up this time around. Fantasy owners can wait and see if he can stay healthy prior to making the pick up in deep leagues.
