J.R. Smith and Tristan Thompson combined for just 15 points against the Grizzlies on Wednesday, as the entire Cavs team looked lost without their Big Three.
LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love (rest) didn’t make the trip to Memphis, leaving J.R. and company to hold down the fort. The results weren’t pretty, especially against the league’s most efficient defense. Smith added two rebounds, two assists and one steal to his 4-of-15 shooting performance, while Thompson managed 11 boards and one steal of his own.
