Jae Crowder‘s season of anonymity continued on Thursday with four points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal on 2-of-6 shooting in 29 minutes of action.
It’d be easy to say that Crowder was simply the product of Boston’s system during his tenure with the Celtics as he just doesn’t look like the same guy in Cleveland. The real answer is probably more nuanced than that but there’s no denying that Crowder has done nothing but disappoint this year. Perhaps the slower offense (in terms of both pace and ball movement) is preventing him from getting in rhythm or he’s just going through a down year, but either way you can keep an eye out for his potential bounce back from a safe distance right now. He belongs on the waiver wire.
