Jae Crowder could barely buy a bucket in Monday’s loss to the Clippers, shooting just 3-of-13 from the floor and 1-of-7 from three point range on his way to a nine point, eight rebound evening.
Crowder was forced into some small ball center tonight given the absences of Al Horford and Jonas Jerebko and Kelly Olynyk’s foul trouble. Tonight was also the fourth time in five games that Crowder has failed to record a steal; a disappointment for owners who surely picked JC for his defensive prowess. As a plus, he’s now gathered 34 rebounds over his last four games, including two games of ten. The Marquette product remains a strong mid-round value and should get his shot to fall in the next one.
