Jahlil Okafor has at least considered a fresh start with a new organization amidst constant trade rumors but remains committed to helping the Sixers so long as he’s with the team.
Okafor has been on shaky ground since the Sixers picked him third in 2015, as his presence created a logjam in a frontcourt that was full of young talent. Nerlens Noel was moved at last year’s deadline after Philly received unsatisfactory packages for Okafor, but there’s still talk that the team is trying to move him. Unfortunately, he’s got a knee injury that dings his stock and a skillset that most teams just aren’t looking for. He’d only be a starter on a handful of teams and may not even be the backup in Philadelphia, as Richaun Holmes severely outplayed him down the stretch. Despite obvious talent and pedigree, Big Jah is not a fantasy option until a deal goes down.
