Jahlil Okafor dropped 22 points and picked up four swats in Tuesday’s road loss to the Warriors.
Okafor was 8-of-15 from the floor and also pulled down six boards to go with one assist and steal apiece. His frontcourt counterpart, Richaun Holmes, scored 14 points and collected eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks. While Big Jah had a nice night, the blocks were a bit out of character- he had just one in his previous 10 games coming into Tuesday, so four is probably the most he’ll get for a while. Holmes has far more upside and remains our preferred play- coach Brett Brown also had him on to close this one out. Okafor’s inability to defend means he’ll always bleed minutes to other players, and Holmes has the stat set to make noise even in a reserve role.
